Koins are a type of Kremling that appear in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. Koins wear a bucket on their head and carry around a trash can lid as a shield, and a DK Coin is attached to it. Their name is a pun on "coin". By defeating the Koin, Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong can acquire its DK Coin. To defeat a Koin, the Kongs often have to throw a Steel Barrel at the wall behind Koin, causing it to bounce off and roll into Koin from behind.
