A Krockhead Barrel,[1] also formatted as Krockhead barrel,[2] is a type of barrel which only appears in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. These barrels depict a Krockhead, specifically a green one in the former game. In both games, Krockhead Barrels only appear in their respective iteration of the level Krockhead Klamber.

Krockhead Barrels are usually found hovering in the air. If Diddy or Dixie Kong touch a Krockhead Barrel, several Krockheads emerge from the swamp, and the Kongs can jump from them to travel across. After a short while, the Krockheads retreat back into the swamp water, so the Kongs must hop from the Krockheads quickly to get across on time or risk falling into the swamp. While a Krockhead Barrel is active, the Krockhead icon depicted on it blinks repeatedly. If the Kongs touch a Krockhead Barrel again, even while it is still active, the duration of its effect is reset.
