- Not to be confused with Super Mario Kart or Mario Kart Tour.
Template:MKTTour The Super Mario Kart Tour was the twenty-sixth tour of Mario Kart Tour, which began on September 9, 2020 and ended on September 22, 2020. The tour introduced Mario and Donkey Kong Jr. in their Super Mario Kart sprite-based appearance as new drivers, the latter making his first playable appearance in the Mario Kart series since the aforementioned game. A new variant of SNES Rainbow Road, named RMX Rainbow Road 1, was added as the signature course of this tour. The drivers were announced in the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Direct on September 3, 2020.[1] Participating in the tour was one of the My Nintendo missions for the anniversary, with rewards including sweepstakes and a collectible pin set.[2] The menu's background featured the main intersection of RMX Rainbow Road 1 as the landmark for this tour.

Event Shop
The limited-time event where event tokens appeared began on September 13, 2020 and lasted until September 22, 2020. However, the shop did not stay available for an extended period of time so players could use their extra tokens, since the event shop opened up three days earlier than it did in previous tours. Event tokens could be earned from collecting in courses.

Trivia
- The trailer for this tour mistakenly featured the Gold Standard instead of the new Gold Pipe Frame.[7] The Gold Standard is not in the Super Mario Kart Tour, and is instead exclusive to Coin Rush mode. The mistake was clarified in a reply tweet[8] to the trailer's tweet and in the YouTube video's description.
- Super Mario Kart Pipe 1's description read, "Driver Mario (SNES) and kart 8-Bit Pipe Frame make their debut in classic 8-bit style!" This is inaccurate for Mario (SNES), as the SNES is a 16-bit console.
- All four variants of RMX Mario Circuit 1 appeared in this tour. This was the third tour to have all four variants of a retro course or an RMX course. The first time was the Mario Bros. Tour with both SNES Mario Circuit 1 and 3DS Mario Circuit, and the second time was the Jungle Tour with 3DS Toad Circuit.
