Template:MKTTour The Sunset Tour was the thirtieth tour of Mario Kart Tour, which began on November 4, 2020 and ended on November 17, 2020. The tour introduced Sunset Wilds from Mario Kart: Super Circuit, which acted as the signature course of the tour. The tour marked the return of Captain Toad and Toadette (Explorer) while also introducing a variant of Peach in her explorer outfit from Super Mario Odyssey. From this tour, the tier cap has been increased from tier 50 to tier 60. The menu's background featured a mesa with a Shy Guy Tent on top as the landmark for this tour.
This was also the last tour that contained the second set of Expert Challenges for players, which started in the Summer Festival Tour.

The Sunset Tour reused the Toadette Cup's bonus challenge from the 2019 Halloween Tour for this tour's Birdo Cup (although the three-star requirement was relaxed from 1:40.00 to 1:55.00), the Koopa Troopa Cup's bonus challenge from the London Tour for this tour's Baby Rosalina Cup, the Lakitu Cup's bonus challenge from the Holiday Tour for this tour's Metal Mario Cup, the Dry Bowser Cup's bonus challenge from the Ice Tour for this tour's Roy Cup, and the Mario Cup's bonus challenge from the Super Mario Kart Tour for this tour's Waluigi Cup (although the three-star requirement was increased from 2:05.00 to 1:55.00).

Trivia
- In the Baby Rosalina Cup, GBA Sunset Wilds T depicted Monty Mole in its icon, even though it was only treated as a favored course.
- Similar incidents happened in the Los Angeles Tour's Wendy Cup where Rosalina was depicted on RMX Rainbow Road 1's icon despite only being a favored course, and in the New Year's 2021 Tour's Diddy Kong Cup where Birdo (Yellow) was depicted on GBA Sunset Wilds R/T's icon despite only being a favored course.
- The Sunset Tour was the second tour to reuse a post-release Coin Rush course from another tour, namely reusing the 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar Coin Rush course from the Holiday Tour. The first time was the Cooking Tour, which reused the DS Luigi's Mansion Coin Rush course from the 2019 Halloween Tour.
- This was the fourth tour in which the Vs. Mega (opponent) challenge does not appear in the final cup of the tour, the first three being the Tokyo Tour, the Peach Tour, and the Summer Festival Tour.
