Template:Kart-infobox The New Year's Kite is an unlockable glider in Mario Kart Tour, classified as a tour-exclusive High-End glider. It is a variation of the Full Flight themed around New Year's with rose blossoms decorating the edges. It is the signature glider of Mario (Happi). Unlike the Full Flight, grabbing Coins grants more points when using this glider. It is possible that the kanji was written by Mario.[1]

  • Mario Kart Tour Twitter: "The delicate strokes of the Japanese kanji for "New Year's Greetings" on the New Year's Kite really stand out against the blue backdrop of the sky. Mario's really been working on his calligraphy!"[2]
