Just after the starting line, the road curves to the left through a couple shops and onto the beach, then makes a slight left through a blue lifeguard tower. After continuing left, the course shifts right into a skatepark and shifts left underneath an elongated lifeguard tower bridge; the course then curves to the left where the rest of the beach is littered with a few [[Sidestepper]]s, with players making a slight S-motion into a double-lane road through the street, where they can alternate between the two lanes at will. After a wide turn left, the player then drives straight and back onto the pier, where the finish line awaits. | |||

However, the track itself takes place in Santa Monica and the landmark Santa Monica Pier; the track itself has flags that write out "Welcome to Santa Monica". The course is favored by Pauline (Party Time), Toad (Party Time), Mario (Swimwear), and Mario (Sunshine).
Course layout

In the Los Angeles Tour, Los Angeles Laps serves as the tour's signature course. It appears as the first course in the Mario Cup, the second course in the Monty Mole Cup, and the location of the challenges in the Wendy Cup and the Pauline Cup. It also has a Reverse/Trick variant which appears as the third course in the Hammer Bro Cup and the third course and location of the challenge in the Larry Cup, a Reverse variant which appears as the first course in the Toad Cup and the third course in the Peach Cup, and a Trick variant which appears as the second course in the Donkey Kong Cup and the first course in the Roy Cup.
