Template:Species-infobox Ball Beamers[1] are mechanical enemies with nut on top of them that appear in Super Mario Galaxy. One also has a screw through the nut. They appear on opposite sides of spherical planets, and send out circular shockwaves that damage Mario if he makes contact with them.

History

Super Mario Galaxy

Ball Beamers appear in Super Mario Galaxy, featuring in the Buoy Base Galaxy and the Deep Dark Galaxy. They are immobile enemies that emit circular shockwaves that travel around the circumference of the planet, damaging Mario if he touches them. The bolted Ball Beamers can be unscrewed by Mario which opens up the inside of the planet they are stationed on, while the other ones are unable to be damaged by normal means. Bolts from them also appear in Toy Time Galaxy. Unlike Ball Beamers, these bolts do not shoot a laser beam.
