Template:MKTTour The Cooking Tour is the nineteenth tour of Mario Kart Tour that began on June 3, 2020 and will end on June 16, 2020. True to its name, the tour introduces a chef variant of Mario while Shy Guy (Pastry Chef) returns alongside Baby Peach (Cherub) from the Paris Tour and Valentine's Tour as the spotlight drivers for the second week, and adds new food-themed kart parts such as the Choco Macharon and the Chocolate Banana Crêpe. Additionally, Choco Island 1 from Super Mario Kart makes a return as the signature course of the tour. For the first time, the player can unlock Gold Koopa (Freerunning) and Dry Bones (Gold) in pipes. From this tour, Expert Challenges have been added, the player level has been increased from level 99 to level 150, and new items have been added to the Daily Selects.

In every cup, the driver which the cup is themed about is raised a tier on each track, making them a three- or two-item driver on that course. Up until the Ice Tour, a kart and a glider were also given a bonus for each race in the cup.

Trivia
- The Cooking Tour is the fourth tour in a row to reuse bonus challenges from a previous tour, namely reusing the Metal Mario Cup's bonus challenge from the Winter Tour for this tour's Iggy Cup, while also reusing the Donkey Kong Cup's bonus challenge from the London Tour for this tour's Waluigi Cup. It shares this distinction with the Trick Tour, the Flower Tour, and the Jungle Tour.
- The Cooking Tour is the first tour to reuse a post-release Coin Rush course from another tour, namely reusing the DS Luigi's Mansion Coin Rush course from the Halloween Tour. Previously, the Tokyo Tour had used the SNES Rainbow Road Coin Rush course from the game's closed beta test.
