- "Track" redirects here. For the race tracks in the Mario Kart series, see Category:Race Courses. For the track objects found in Super Mario Maker, see Track (object). For the level in Super Mario Maker, see Tracks.
Athletics events are a category of events that appear in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games and later in Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games. All athletics events fall under two categories - Track or Field. The track ones all involve running in circles around a track and the field ones involve different things but characters do not run around a track like in track events. All of the athletics events take place in the National Stadium.
