A Barrel Shield is a type of shield in the two Donkey Kong games, Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble and Donkey Kong Land III.

During the tree levels of the two games, the heroes will be attacked by the pesky Minkies, throwing nuts at them. In times like this, they might find the rare, but useful, Barrel Shields.
