Template:Item-infobox Statue Leaves are rare items found in Super Mario 3D Land (only in Special Worlds). When Mario or Luigi grabs a Statue Leaf, he resembles his Tanooki form and gains the ability to transform into a statue, thus avoiding enemies and hazards.
When Mario uses a Statue Leaf, he can turn into a statue instead of doing a Ground Pound. When he is in his statue form, enemies cannot hurt him. Mario appears to be wearing a Tanooki Suit with a red handkerchief wrapped around his neck. This power-up first appears in Special 1-1 in Super Mario 3D Land.
Appearance
Statue Leaves have a grayish palette with alternating bright and gray stripes. They look similar to Super Leaves and have big long eyes similar to its other variations. They look as if they are made out of stone, which makes sense since it gives the statue ability. Even though it is absent from the first eight worlds, it is relatively common in the Special Worlds of the game, replacing the Super Leaf.
