To defeat one, [[Dixie Kong]] or [[Kiddy Kong]] must make an attack on the front of the hedgehog while the baddie is walking forward, as the rear and top are very prickly.  Also, unlike the Spinies, Bristles are actually immune to the Kongs' team up attacks since throwing Dixie or Kiddy at one with just get him or her injured.
