In Mario Party 9, the Museum features a Sound Test where the player can unlock five categories of music from the game for 100 Party Points each: Menu Music, Stage Music, Minigame Music 1, Minigame Music 2, and Other Tracks.

The following is a list of music from the game. Songs marked with an asterisk (*) are names used in the British English version.

Jump-Jump-Jumping Plays in Skyjinks and Upward Mobility. These minigames are both related to platforming. A part of the song is an arrangement of the Ground Theme from Super Mario Bros.
Hit the Field Plays in Skipping Class, Bomb Barge, and Tackle Takedown. These minigames are fast-paced.
Pandemonium Plays in Flinger Painting, Fungi Frenzy, and Hazard Hold. The track is an arrangement of the Battle Mode theme from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! The song is also featured in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U as a selectable song on the Mario Circuit stage and in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a Super Mario-series song.
How Strange! Plays in Chain Event, Thwomper Room, and Weird Wheels.
Fluff Plays in Buddy Bounce and Bumper Bubbles. These minigames are both related to the sky.
Hoopla Plays in Tuber Tug and Piranha Patch. These minigames involve plants.
Fun Times Plays in Pinball Fall, Goomba Village, Toad and Go Seek, and Pit or Platter.
Hurry Up! Plays in Tumble Temple, Magma Mayhem, and Block and Roll.
Watch Out! Plays in Billistics and Ruins Rumble. These minigames involve caution.
Freshen Up! Plays in Speeding Bullets. The second half of the song is an arrangement of the Ground Theme from Super Mario Bros.
Think About It Plays in Jigsaw Jumble, Card Smarts, Goomba Spotting, and Pix Fix. These minigames involve thinking, as the name suggests.
