Pirate Guy
Pirate Guys are adventurous Shy Guys that "sail the seven seas." However, in actuality, they only sail the seas surrounding Yoshi's Island and Li'l Yoshi's Island. They are closely tied with Limbo Guys. Their first appearance was in Yoshi's Story, and at the time only in Stage 5-4: Shy Guy's Ship.
Pirate Guys are basically pirate Shy Guys. They have Bob-omb cannons, Bill Blasters, and other utilities for bombardment. They are invincible in all the games except for Yoshi's Island DS where they can be eaten like all other enemies.
Pirate Guys appeared solely in Yoshi's Story for a long while. However, they appeared in Mario Kart: Super Circuit and Mario Kart Wii in the Shy Guy Beach level, and also appearing in Mario Parties 1, 2, and 8, the captain acting as the flag-raiser for the minigames Shy Guy Says and Flagging Rights. (They also appered in Mario Party 2 on the Pirate Land Board). Lastly, they also appeared in Mario Hoops 3 on 3 in the Koopa Beach level.
Pirate Guys appear in Yoshi's Island DS along with Pirate Guys who stack themselves on top of each other. They acted like normal Shy Guys, just beach-styled.
