Type Boss minigame

Bowser Crashers is a boss minigame in Super Mario Party Jamboree. In Party-Planner Trek, the boss is fought after at least 30 Mini Stars are collected in King Bowser's Keep, and thus is the final mandatory minigame of the mode.

Introduction

The players stand on their jets. Impostor Bowser stands at the top of a castle, laughing as lightning strikes. He jumps down to the ground and then breathes fire as the players approach him.

Gameplay

The objective of this minigame is to defeat Impostor Bowser by performing jet attacks. Players can hold an attack before firing to deal more damage for a maximum of 5 points depending on the charge. Impostor Bowser can attack by shredding with his claws from above and below and firing out fireballs, both of which penalize players on contact.

Once the boss is at half health, Impostor Bowser falls to the ground, but Kamek prepares a spell that makes Impostor Bowser grow and restore his health to full. From this point onward, the view shift from a side angle to a front-facing one. Kamek will occasionally create Bob-ombs that fall from the sky or Bullet Bills that fire from either the left or the right that damage the player on contact. When Impostor Bowser reaches half health again, he will jump to get closer to the players, where he can attack more quickly and also can spit out a continuous stream of fire. The player who manages to land the last hit on Impostor Bowser is awarded ten points.

This boss minigame is unique from the others in the game in that it has a time limit of five minutes rather than three. If five minutes pass in the Mario Party mode, the player with the most points wins, regardless of whether the boss is defeated or not. In Party-Planner Trek and Boss Rush, the player team has to defeat the boss within five minutes to advance.

Ending

Once the last hit is delivered, Impostor Bowser roars and then falls in defeat. The players, standing on the ground in front of him, perform their winning and/or losing animations. If five minutes pass in Party-Planner Trek and Boss Rush, all players will perform their losing animations.
