Cage Catch
4-Player Minigame
Appears in Super Mario Party Jamboree
Type 1-vs.-3 minigame
Time limit 30 seconds

Cage Catch is a 1-vs.-3 minigame in Super Mario Party Jamboree. Its name is likely a pun on "cage match," a type of professional wrestling.

Introduction

The solo player is in a pool as a cage's shadow approaches them. They notice this and swim away from it just as the cage lowers.

Gameplay

This minigame features a pool of water holding the solo player and three Cheep Cheeps. The team must cooperate to lower the cage onto the solo player, with one player controlling the cage's horizontal position, one controlling the cage's vertical position, and the other using a button to drop the cage. The solo player must swim away from the cage while avoiding the Cheep Cheeps, which can stun the player briefly if touched. Once the cage is lowered, if it fails to capture the solo player, time is wasted. If it does capture the solo player within the time limit, the team players win, otherwise the solo player wins.
