Appears in Super Mario Party Jamboree
Type 4-Player minigame
Time limit 45 seconds

Twist and Sort is a 4-Player minigame appearing in Super Mario Party Jamboree. The name of the minigame is a pun on the title of the Every Brothers song "Twist and Shout", most notably covered by the Beatles.

Introduction

One player stands at a steering wheel in front of a mock-up of a tropical setting. They test the wheel out before the other three players are revealed.

Gameplay

Players must sort falling Cheep Cheeps and Bloopers into separate water tanks. The aquatic creatures are automatically dropped by Clear Pipes into the play area, where players must use motion controls to shift synchronized platforms and maneuver the creatures into their appropriate containers. The player with the highest total number of correct sorts after 45 seconds wins.

Ending

The players stand on a sandbar in front of the winning player's tanks, which display the total number of Cheep Cheeps and Bloopers successfully sorted by that player. The winner performs their victory animation while the losing players perform their defeat animations.

Controls

  • Joy-Con (horizontal) – Tilt platforms

In-game text

Sort Cheep Cheeps and Bloopers into the correct boxes. Tilt Joy-Con (horizontal) to move the platforms.
