Time limit 10 seconds per round

Prime Cut is a 2-vs-2 minigame found in Super Mario Party Jamboree.[1]

Introduction

A steak is shown being grilled outdoors on an iron grill.

Gameplay

In each of the three rounds, both players in each team hold one end of a knife and have 10 seconds to move left and right and align the knife so that the steak is split as close as possible into equal halves. Each steak has varying shapes. After time runs out, the players cut the steak. The team with the most steaks closest to 50:50 splits wins.

Ending

Each steak is placed on a plate and garnished with watercress and tomatoes, and its size is calculated before the screen fades to black and back to the winning and losing teams performing their respective animations, with the losing players behind the winning players.

In-game text

  • Description – "Try to cut out the steaks perfectly in half within the time limit. You'll need to maneuver to find the cutting line that seems most even."
