Paper Goomba

Template:Species-infobox Sos Goombas are paper forms of Goombas that appear as enemies in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. Unlike their regular Goomba counterpart that also appears, which charge at the Mario Brothers, the Paper Goombas instead jump up and float down or walk slowly toward them. Paper Goombas are commonly found at Sunbeam Plains and one is fought in Neo Bowser Castle alongside a regular Goomba as one of Bowser's last lines of defense. In Sunbeam Plains, a stack of Paper Goombas is fought as a tutorial boss for Paper Mario, which has higher POW and Defense and can attack by forming into a Goomba Wheel and ramming into Paper Mario.
Rare, shiny variants can also appear in place of the regular Paper Goombas in the same areas. These Goombas have greater stats and will always drop a Syrup Jar and 1-Up Mushroom when defeated, though their methods of attack remain the same. Stronger versions of a shiny Paper Goomba can also appear alongside Shiny RoboBowser during the battle, which have even greater stats and will always drop a Max Mushroom upon defeat.
