Lava Cheep Cheeps[1] (also called a "black Tobi Lava Fish"[2]) are Cheep Cheeps that appear in Super Mario Sunshine. Their scales are a dark black, and they are constantly on fire. They inhabit the magma within Corona Mountain, and they swim around Mario as he crosses the volcanic interior. Though they jump out of the magma when he gets near, they cannot hurt him.
