Template:Newsubject Template:Minigame-infobox Sledge Bro's Card Chaos is a boss minigame that appears in Mario Party 10. The midboss minigame of Haunted Trail, it pits the players against a Sledge Bro.

Intro

The minigame takes place at night, in a stone arena with torches illuminating a small bridge in the center. Sledge Bro is shown standing atop a cliff overlooking the arena - he leaps down into the center of the arena, but gets his feet stuck in the ground. He yanks himself free before stomping up to the players and beginning the minigame.

Gameplay

Players will be presented with several cards, each with an image of Bullet Bills or a Hammer Bro hammer. They have five seconds to memorize the cards before they are flipped over. Sledge Bro proceeds to remove two random cards with a quake attack, after which the players must choose a card to attack the boss with. The order of attacks is based on who picked their card the fastest (i.e. the first player to pick a card gets to attack first).

Anyone who picked a Bullet Bill card gets to attack with the number of Bullet Bills shown on the card, earning one point per hit; anyone who picked a hammer card gets hit by a hammer thrown by Sledge Bro, losing one point. Each player chooses another card from the remainder (without getting to look at them first) before a new set of cards are dealt and the process repeats.

When Sledge Bro loses half of his health, he automatically replaces the current set of cards with a new set. From now on, there will be cards with two hammers in the mix; anyone who picks one of these will be hit with two hammers for a total of two points lost. Additionally, players only get to choose cards once per set - after each round, the cards are replaced with a new batch.

Ending

The minigame ends once Sledge Bro's health drops to zero - the player who lands the final blow gains an additional five points. After the boss is defeated, the result screen is shown with a sum of points, penalties and bonuses. The player with the most points overall wins the mini game.
