Rabbid Peach is a Rabbid dressed as Princess Peach, who first appears as one of the eight main heroes in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. She was created when Spawny used the SupaMerge to fuse a Rabbid with a Princess Peach wig. In Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Rabbid Peach teams up with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Luigi, and Rabbid Yoshi to save the Mushroom Kingdom from Rabbid-fused enemies and Bowser Jr.'s attempted takeover. In the game, she has poor offense, exceptional defense, and average mobility.
Rabbid Peach's primary weapon is the Blaster, a mid-range gun-like weapon that deals exceptional damage; her secondary weapon is the Sentry, a deployable unit that explodes on enemies upon contact and soaks up damage from "line-of-sight" techniques. Rabbid Peach has a unique dash known as the "Stylish Dash", which can hit multiple times (the maximum number being 4). Rabbid Peach has two special abilities: Shield, and Heal. The former reduces all movement and weapon damage by a certain percentage, while the latter heals a percentage of Rabbid Peach's, and her allies' health (with the maximum being 70%). Her Shield ability can also be used with Princess Peach's Protection ability to reduce damage from enemies greatly.
Rabbid Peach returns in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope as one of the nine playable characters.[1] She now wields the Triple-Troll,[2] a blaster-like weapon that shoots three missiles at once. They can find their way behind or even destroy many covers. The Triple-Troll also apparently has a mount for her smartphone. Her technique is the same as the previous game, Heal. However, with skill points, she can learn Healing Jump, a skill Peach had in the first game.[3] She also has a new, unknown voice actor.[4] She speaks in a stereotypical valley girl accent.[5]
Personality
When she was still a normal Rabbid, Rabbid Peach exhibited traits of a normal Rabbid; curious, wild, chaotic, and mischievous.
Unlike Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Luigi, and Rabbid Yoshi, Rabbid Peach can sometimes be bossy. She is also sassy, easily bored, and fond of taking selfies.[6] She is not scared of ghosts when she goes ghost hunting with the other seven heroes. Rabbid Peach seems to have a vain side; she loves getting attention and flaunting her looks every chance she gets. This is shown on several occasions, especially when the group unveils a new statue of her at the end and shown to be the most excited out of all the heroes.
Unlike Princess Peach, Rabbid Peach can be rude and inconsiderate. When meeting her counterpart, Rabbid Peach was shown to be rude towards Peach. She expresses the same behavior when she laughs at Mario, along with the other Rabbids, during the Phantom's song, and even knocking over the support pillar to the tower that Rabbid Kong was on, despite Mario's objections. During the trailer to the DK adventure, she takes Rabbid Cranky's stick to use as a selfie stick, without asking him.
Rabbid Peach is implied to have a crush on Mario as she always tries to get his attention, and even showed jealousy towards his and Peach's relationship. Some of her hostility towards Peach steams not only from jealousy, but taking her cosplay role seriously. Her obsessions with selfies and crush on Mario can easily mirror that of archetypal modern teenage girls. She also has a fearful side, throwing a banana to Mario when she heard Rabbid Kong roar. Despite these traits, Rabbid Peach still has a good heart, and aids her allies when they need her.
Relationships with other characters
- Mario: Throughout Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Rabbid Peach teams up with Mario along with Rabbid Luigi as the plumber's first two companions. She has shown to be attracted to Mario. During the first trailer, she skips happily towards him only to be interrupted by Rabbid Luigi. Rabbid Peach seems to be jealous of Mario and Peach's relationship, pushing her counterpart aside just to get attention from Mario. Her Instagram profile states that she finds him to be cute. In the cinematic trailer for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, she sneaks up behind Mario to take a selfie with him.[7]
- Princess Peach: Rabbid Peach first had some hostility towards Peach. In her Instagram profile, she calls the real Peach a fake. Taking her cosplay seriously and jealous of the princess's relationship with Mario, Rabbid Peach and Peach did not start off on good terms. She was willing to push the princess aside just to gain attention from Mario, even glaring at her before the battle was about to begin, much to Mario's frustration. However, the two are still willing to work together, and the hostility came to an end after Peach unveiled a Statue of Rabbid Peach, exciting her and gathering all the heroes together in a selfie. The promotional art shows a friendlier side of the two, as they took a selfie together.
- Luigi and Yoshi: Rabbid Peach has little interaction with Luigi and Yoshi, but is shown to still work with them and is happy that they joined the group. However, she refused to let Luigi see her selfie photos. In the end, she gathers them and the other heroes together in a group selfie. In a promotional art, she helps Luigi get into shape.
- Rabbid Luigi, Rabbid Mario, Rabbid Yoshi, and Rabbid Cranky: Rabbid Peach interacts with Rabbids Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi the same way she would interact with any of her fellow Rabbids: Happily, playfully, and on occasion aggressively. Out of the three however, she interacts with Rabbid Luigi the most given that he was with her when they started traveling with Mario. She also allowed him to look at her selfies, unlike his counterpart. In the end, she does care about them and was willing to take a group selfie with them and their Mario counterparts. With Rabbid Cranky, it's mostly friendly but he does show annoyance at her self-centered nature. He hates it when she steals his stick without his permission, though he is content in her selfies.
- Beep-0: While he recognized her and Rabbid Luigi to not be corrupted like the other Rabbids, Beep-0 did get frustrated with her when she and Rabbid Luigi didn't help him on the first battle, and instead laughed at his misfortune. During their travels, Beep-0 begins to accept her and the other Rabbids as friends. She also recognizes him as a friend and takes a group selfie with him and the other heroes. He also was with her when they were accidentally sent to DK island.
- Donkey Kong and Rabbid Cranky: Donkey Kong and Rabbid Cranky rescued Rabbid Peach and Beep-0 when they ended up on DK island, and have been their main allies since. Rabbid Cranky gets frustrated when Rabbid Peach steals his walking stick for her selfies, but remains goods friends with her. DK also maintains a good relationship with the Rabbid princess, and she shows to be a bit flirty with him, though not as much as she is with Mario. The two were part of a group selfie with her, Beep-0 and Rabbid Kong before the two returned to the Mushroom Kingdom.
- Rabbid Kong: The two were adversaries during the main story line of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. After his defeat though, Rabbid Peach pushed him off the tower, and he has sense developed a grudge against her. However, Rabbid Kong later develops a crush on Rabbid Peach, and tries to impress her. After defeating him in the DK island adventure, Rabbid Peach apologizes and forms a friendship with him. She even comforted him when she and Beep-0 were returning to the Mushroom Kingdom, and shared a group selfie with him.
Appearances in other games
Rabbid Peach appears in an alternate version of the song "Naughty Girl" by Beyoncé in Just Dance 2018 for the Nintendo Switch. The background during this version of the song depicts the hub world of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. This version of the song is exclusive to the "Just Dance Unlimited" subscription service. The version also appears in the Chinese version of Just Dance 2020, and an avatar of Rabbid Peach appears in the Wii and Xbox 360 versions of Just Dance 2019, where it can be unlocked at the start if saved data from past games is present. In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Rabbid Peach appears as a spirit.
