Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope: Roasting Rayman album cover
Single artwork

"Phantom Returns"[1] is a song in the Rayman in the Phantom Show DLC of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. It is sung by the Phantom, who reveals his true colors when Rayman, Rabbid Mario, and Rabbid Peach arrive at his wrap party after helping to fix his sets. In the first act (named "Overture"),[1] the Swingin' Phantom insults Rayman by telling him that he got eclipsed by the Rabbids. In the third act (named "The Roast"),[1] the Final Phantom insults the other heroes, mostly Beep-0. The song was composed by Grant Kirkhope.[1]

A single titled Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope: Roasting Rayman was released digitally on September 15, 2023.[2] It includes both of the song's acts in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Japanese and the instrumental.

Lyrics

Underlined lyrics are spoken and not sung. Lyrics in red are sung by Rabbids.

Act 1:
Come-BACK? Hpmh - were you ever a THING, Rayman?
Now! For the millions watching, are you ready for my rant?
Rayman is a gangly goofy brainless hopeless eggplant!
Leave it all to me...
you're a setting star no one will see!
Small surprise you'd get eclipsed in the Rabbid's company!
Even your friendship with Globox gets weaker
He needs to detox from your stinky sneaker!
Your punch is weak...
Weak! Weak!
And your glide makes me sick...
Sick! Sick!
Must be nice to be Mr. Dark
Going to sleep with nothing on your mind!
A flash in the pan, second fiddle to the Rabbids...
Raymaaaaan!

Act 3:
Beep-0... My old pal, so to say
Spare me your insight 'cause you're never ever right!
You'd be keener to be a vacuum cleaner
You truly look like one, you talk and kill the fun
Heroes? You're copycats, you're zeroes!
I can't take it anymore
I'm sick of the lousy four
The eggplant, the socialite, the weakling, and the bore...
You'll never replace me...
I'm the one the public adore!
