White Raccoon Mario

Not to be confused with White Tanooki Mario.

White Raccoon Mario is a special form of Raccoon Mario that Mario and Luigi are able to obtain in New Super Mario Bros. 2. This form is very similar to White Tanooki Mario from Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 3D World, and can be obtained in the exact same way. Both forms make Mario or Luigi invincible, but unlike in Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 3D World, the player can still access the White Raccoon Mario form even after the level or the final boss is beaten.

To turn into this form, Mario or Luigi need to obtain an Invincibility Leaf, which is found inside an Assist Block. In this state, the player gets a shiny, white and yellow outfit. It gives the player all the same abilities as Raccoon Mario, as well as causing the P-Meter to charge more quickly, allowing the player to run and stand on water, and providing invincibility (though the player can't defeat multiple enemies to obtain bonus points and 1-Ups, and is hurt by lava and poison). White Raccoon Mario is also available in the Coin Rush mode as an option to play as. It works the same as in the other modes, except the player has White Raccoon Mario to play as from the start, but will not have a Gold Flower in the Item Stock as the player would have if they'd played as normal Mario.
