Watermelon Blocks

Watermelon Blocks are supposedly super-sized watermelons shaped like a cube found in Super Mario Sunshine. They are green with dark stripes on the outside and red on the inside, and make a splashing noise when destroyed, like an actual Watermelon. Watermelon Blocks serve as one kind of the different blocks that are found throughout the game.

Super Mario Sunshine

Watermelon Blocks only appeared in one game so far, in Super Mario Sunshine. Along with other blocks like Brick Blocks and Sand Blocks, they appear in the secret areas hidden in the game's worlds. They can only be destroyed by ground pounding on them, as opposed to Brick Blocks, which can only be destroyed by jumping underneath them. After Mario destroyed one of them, it often drops a single Coin.
