The Master Poet is a Toad who hangs out in Club 64 to be near his love, Chanterelle, in the game Paper Mario. Chanterelle is completely unaware of Master Poet's love and affection for her. When she loses her voice, the Master Poet is strucken with grief. He writes a special song for her, which Mario takes to the composer for a matching melody.
