The Toad Minister

The Toad Minister is a high-ranking government official in the Mushroom Kingdom. His only appearance to date is in Paper Mario. The minister is imprisoned by Bowser after the Koopa king captures Princess Peach's Castle. Mario frees the Toad Minister, along with many other Toads, when the hero storms Bowser's Castle late in the game.

The Toad Minister is reminiscent of the Chancellor from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. In the Japanese version of Paper Mario, he was given the same name as the Chancellor in Super Mario RPG. Both wear green mushroom caps, have large mustaches, have gold trim on their robes, and are high-ranking Mushroom Kingdom officials. He also bears a passing resemblance to Toadsworth.
