Arich is a giant red spider who appears as a boss in both Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III. Its name comes from the word "arachnid", which is a classification term used to describe spiders.

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!
Arich is the second boss of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. It is fought in the boss stage Arich's Ambush at the end of Kremwood Forest, though its name is also featured in the world's secret cave, Arich's Hoard. Arich hangs from a thread of web throughout the battle. Arich can take damage from hitting his jaw with a barrel.[2] Arich bounces up and down through the battle and also spits green balls. After a third hit, Arich is defeated, landing over onto its back and dropping the patch required for Funky Kong to finish the Hover Craft.
In the remake, Arich has a different battle theme than the other bosses. It shares this theme with Kroctopus.
