Shun[1] is a member of the Extension Corps under Zokket in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. His name is derived from the third syllable of "extension", referring to extension cords, with Ecks and Ten's names coming from the other two. He is a stout, turquoise ruffian whose body resembles a VGA connector, with a yellow-lipped mouth on his chest.
During the battle against the Pipegunk, Shun uses his remote to move the arena to a lava chamber, giving the monster a boost. Luigi can attack Shun with his Luigi Logic to steal the remote; if successful, he knocks Shun into the lava and can move the arena into an icy cavern, stunning the Pipegunk for several turns and weakening the creature. However, Shun will reclaim his remote in a few turns.[2]
When Mario and Luigi fight all three members of the Extension Corps together, Shun attacks by lifting dumbbells and throwing them. Shun telegraphs his target by turning towards him, and the Bro. who is turned to the third time has to jump the dumbbell to avoid getting hit. Unless Shun makes his mark, Ecks and/or Ten will take damage instead, the former taking 88 damage and the latter taking 75. Shun also has his own Battle Plugs, which have various effects like dropping balls on those who get hit and making consuming Mushrooms baleful. Later in the fight, Shun can lift two smaller dumbbells, so both Bros. have to jump, and he uses a Single-minded Plug. The trio gain a combo attack from this plug where Ecks dashes into the Bros. from the side, Ten fires shots from his arm cannon, and Shun punches a punching bag. All three must be jumped over. Eventually, Shun will use the Invincible Plug, becoming invincible along with Ecks and Ten for several turns before waves of fire erupt. The Bros. can use the Emergency Block to reduce damage, but cannot avoid the fire wave otherwise.[3]
