The Warp Space is a special space that first appeared in Mario Party 4. When one of the players in the gameboard activates the space, a spinner on the screen appears with the three other opponents' faces. An arrow starts spinning, and when the player pressed slows down and stops the icon 225 degress from when the input was registered.[1] The space will then spring the player to the space the chosen opponent selected.
Warp Spaces return in Mario Party: Island Tour (under the name Event Space in the British English version), where they serve the same purpose. They appear only on Rocket Road. In this game, they take the appearance of an Event Space with a wormhole underneath them. In the final results screen of the American English version of the game, Warp Spaces are erroneously known by their British name, Event Spaces.
