Tane Pakkun are Piranha Plants originating in Mario vs. Donkey Kong. They appear in Donkey Kong Jungle and Mystic Forest. Tane Pakkun are extremely similar to the Dōryī enemies in Donkey Kong for Game Boy, except they are Piranha Plants rather than generic flower monsters and will damage Mario upon direct contact. Their seeds shoot horizontally at intervals and can also damage Mario.
In the Nintendo Switch remake, Tane Pakkun are redesigned into mechanical Fire Piranha Plants.[1]
