Darkmess is a type of dark matter that drives the plot of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Produced by Cursa and spread across the galaxy, it factors heavily in her pursuit of the Sparks and causes debilitating weather effects on every planet it lands on, such as shrouding Beacon Beach in a permanent rainstorm or Pristine Peaks in a brutal blizzard.
Forms
- Darkmess Bowser, a clone of Bowser formed from Darkmess[1].
- Darkmess Edge, a clone of Edge formed from Darkmess[1].
- Darkmess Eyes, which possess an enemy or element and must be all destroyed to progress [2].
- Darkmess Portals, which summon an enemy the next turn and can be destroyed[3].
- Darkmess Puddles[3]
- Darkmess Tentacles[3]
- Purified Darkmess Energy, the result of destroying Darkmess Tentacles and used to power the WM ARC[3].
