Takko[1] are blue alien cephalopod creatures with Blooper-like eyes that appear in Yoshi's Crafted World. They only appear in the Moon portion of The Countdown Begins. A Takko can be used as a springboard if Yoshi jumps on it, making it expel a cloud of ink. If Yoshi Ground Pounds it, he will be propelled higher. The ink scares nearby Shy Guys, causing them to run away; this method is used to lure Shy Guys carrying Red Coins from underneath a semi-solid platform. Yoshi can also carry Takko in his mouth, and spit them into a new position. However, if a Takko is left in the same position for too long, it will teleport back to its original spot.
