Template:Species-infobox Template:Quote2 Swoopies are red birds with a long beak that appear as enemies in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. Like the Super Mario enemy, Swoop, Swoopies are named after their main trait of swooping. In Krematoa, Swoopies have a level dedicated to them, Swoopy Salvo, which they appear throughout. There are two types of Swoopies, each behaving differently, although their appearance is identical.

The first type, upon noticing Dixie and Kiddy nearby, quickly swoops into a tree trunk, causing its beak to become stuck. This allows the Kongs to use it as a platform and reach higher areas. This type first appears in the level Springin' Spiders, although only one appears in the level. During parts of the second half of Swoopy Salvo, the Kongs must jump on some of them to progress.

The second type only appears in Swoopy Salvo. Here, an unlimited number of them fly quickly through small holes within the hollow trees. This makes them the aerial equivalent of Bazzas and Lemguins. They fly at a diagonal pattern, and can damage the Kongs upon contact. These Swoopies can be optionally defeated by either a jump attack or from Squawks spitting an egg at them.

In Dixie Kong's Photo Album, a Swoopy appears under the Flying Fiends category.
