Toadofsky is a famous Toad composer who works in Melody Bay, a small area connected to Tadpole Pond. During the events of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Toadofsky has "composer's block"; he is trying to create a brand new symphony, has had no inspiration to work from. Additionally, if he does not come up with a song and make some money soon, he will have to compose video game music for games starring a hedgehog.[1] (This was a reference to mock Sonic the Hedgehog, Sega's mascot and Mario and Nintendo's rival.) As Mario travels the world, he picks up a few local melodies. If Mario returns to Tadpole Pond, he can play these melodies to Toadofsky as inspiration by leaping on the tadpoles in certain positions, the pond resembling a staff. As a reward, Toadofsky will give Mario special membership cards used to purchase special items at the Tadpole Pond Item Shop, the Juice Bar. After giving him the three melodies, Toadofsky allows Mario to compose the last quarter of the symphony himself. During the ending, Toadofsky is seen putting on a concert with Frogfucius attending it.
Toadofsky, called Toadofski, appeared in Mario and the Incredible Rescue. He gives Mario one of the six Mushrooms and begs Mario to compose him a new song which he does.
Melodies of Toadofsky's symphony
- "Frogfucius' suite #18" (learned from reading a poster on Frogfucius' island).
- "Moleville blues" (learned from Pa'Mole in the Coal Mines).
- "Template:Conjecturaltext" (learned from a Starslap in Monstro Town).
- Mario himself composes the last quarter of the symphony in Tadpole Pond.

Trivia
- Toadofsky's name is a pun on the name of famous Russian composers Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky or Boris Tchaikovsky.
- Toad in the Desert of Paper Mario may be based on Toadofsky, in a similar to how the Minister is thought to be based on Super Mario RPG's Chancellor. Both Toadofsky and Toad in the Desert are composers, and in a similar manner to how Toadofsky needes actual music, the Toad in the Desert seeks Lyrics.
- The mentioned 'video game starring a hedgehog' is a reference to the Sonic the Hedgehog games. Furthermore, how it seems Toadofsky would loathe such a job is a reference to how Mario and Sonic are rivals.
