Stretch Blocks are a type of Block that are composed of five segments which constantly extend up and down or left to right, they first appear in Super Mario World, where they serve as a bridge in certain levels, Stretch Block also make an appearance in New Super Mario Bros. Wii where they serve the same purpose as they did in Super Mario World. They are commonly mistaken for Rotating Blocks or for Yellow Blocks, because of their appearance and their color.
