The machine has two yellow halves of a sphere that squeeze a character into a ball. It also has a gray platform that can extend upwards to move the character. The Pinballer appears during the opening cutscene, after the player starts the game, and after they lose a life. After a Toad gets transformed into a ball and shot out of the Sky Cannon, Template:Peach gets transformed into a ball and enters the cannon as well, but she gets blasted to Bowser's castle by two Goombas.
