Jelly, also referred to as gelatin[1] or goo,[2] encapsulates terrain in Yoshi's Story and New Super Mario Bros.
History
Yoshi's Story
Jelly first appears in Yoshi's Story, specifically in the Jelly Pipe. Here, it can be "dug" into by a Baby Yoshi using a forceful move such as the Ground Pound. Sometimes fruit is trapped in the jelly, also. The jelly in this game comes in blue, magenta, and cyan. Sometimes Jelly Ghosts hide in the jelly.
New Super Mario Bros.
Yellow gelatin appears in Template:World-link in New Super Mario Bros. It is only found in a single room in the level, where it can once again be dug into with a Ground Pound, although it will revert back to its normal shape after a few seconds. A similar-looking yellow substance known as Rippling Floor can also be found in the same level.
