A normal Seedlusa in Mario & Luigi: Brothership | |
First appearance | Mario & Luigi: Brothership (2024) |
Variant of | Seedle |
Seedlusas are enemies that appear in Mario & Luigi: Brothership. They are white Seedles with red glowing eyes with red "antennas", resembling Reclusa. They are encountered in the Soli-Tree where they hop away from Mario and Luigi if they are near. Seedlusas can grow to become a large plant with a white stem, red roots, black petals with red lines and have glowing, red-orange happy eyes.
Battle
It has been requested that this article be rewritten. Reason: Are the EXP/Coins drop amounts differ between forms? May someone confirm this?
Seedlusas start battles in their Seedle form, faced away from Mario and Luigi. When it is the enemy's turn, they might look around before sweating, or they can flee the fight entirely. If there is only one Seedlusa left, it cannot run away. Seedlusas have low HP but extremely high defense. If a Seedlusa is the only enemy remaining in the battle, it will burrow into the ground and transform into their large plant form, where they have extremely high HP but lose their huge defense. While in their plant form, they have three attacks:
- The Seedlusa can summon five flower buds around the Bros. before they open one by one, releasing slow shockwaves. The order of which buds will bloom is determined by the order they emerge from the ground. Some buds might rise in the air, indicating that the shockwave will occur above the brothers. Mario and Luigi must jump to avoid the shockwaves.
- Seedlusas can rush around Mario and Luigi, sometimes changing direction or running into them. This attack must be countered by using the hammers. If a character counterattacks the attacking Seedlusa, it will spin into the other character as an additional attack. This attack ends if the Seedlusa is defeated or after a set amount of time.
- When at low HP, the Seedlusa can charge up before spewing out lots of electrical orbs at the Bros. Many of them miss, but some of them are launched to the brothers, dealing high damage upon contact. Mario and Luigi must use their hammers to destroying oncoming orbs. All orbs that fly to Mario and Luigi shine light below them. After the attack is over, the Seedlusa will wilt, defeating itself in the process. The Seedlusa does not give Experience nor coins if it is defeated this way.
