The Thirteen Mushroom Colonies are a country formerly ruled by King Koopa and the Koopa Pack in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! episode "The Koopas are Coming! The Koopas are Coming!". It is a snowy country that the revolutionary army of Toads live in. In the episode, General George Washingtoad is fighting a war against Redcoat Koopa to gain independence from him. With the help of Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Princess Toadstool, Washingtoad and his army defeat Redcoat Koopa, and build their own country, which Mario and Luigi are official "uncles" of. The land is a reference to the original thirteen colonies that became the United States of America.
