Cherry-Go-Round is a 4-Player and Duel minigame that appears in Mario Party DS. Its name is a portmanteau of "cherry" and "merry-go-round." It is the third minigame in Score Scuffle.

Introduction

The characters are shown celebrating with their cherries in front.

Gameplay

All the players have a bunched pair of cherries and must spin them with the stylus for five seconds. When time is up, players throw the cherries high into the air. Whichever player throws their cherry the farthest wins the minigame. If no one throws their cherries or if everyone has the same score, the minigame results in a tie.

If everyone breaks the current record by tying, it counts as a new record even though no one won, as the screen says "Tie" after the "New Record" fanfare. This also applies to the other minigames with a record system.

Enging

The winners celebrate their victory while the losers sulk.

Controls

  • Stylus – Spin cherries

In-game text

  • Rules"Build up a great distance throw with your pair of cherries. You'll throw it farther the more you swirl your stylus before the throw."
  • Rules (Score Scuffle)"Build up a great distance throw with your pair of cherries. You'll throw it farther, earning more points, the more you swirl your stylus."
  • Tips"The arrows show a clockwise swirl, but you can actually swirl in whichever way is best for you."
