HP Plus is a badge in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. In Paper Mario, it is located near Koopa Village, on top of a stump that can only be reached by using Kooper, Forever Forest, hidden in a branch off of the main path, and can be bought from Rowf's Badge Shop for 150 coins. In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, it can be found in Hooktail Castle, underneath the broken bridge at the castle's entrance that can only be reached by using Koops, in the Riverside Station, accessed by using Mario's tube mode to roll under a gap in a set of stairs, bought from Pianta Parlor after getting the Special Card for 100 pianta tokens, and dropped by Gloombas, Spiky Gloombas, Paragloombas, Dark Paratroopas, Dull Bones, Dry Bones, and X-Nauts. If Mario equips it, his maximum HP is increased by five. The effect of the badge stacks if multiple copies of it are equipped. A variant of the badge exists called FP Plus that boosts Mario's FP, and another one called HP Plus P works exclusively for Mario's partner.

Merluvlee's prediction in Paper Mario

  • "I see...an HP Plus Badge. In Forever Forest, you take the path opposite the one where the most toadstools are glowing spookily. You know you're in the right place because you see a big honeycomb. You head for a clearing in the center. A red Block is waiting for you in the darkness."
  • "I see...an HP Plus Badge. It is for sale at the open-air shop in the plaza outside the castle gate."
  • "I see...an HP Plus Badge. On the path to the Fuzzies' forest from Koopa Village, you see a few stumps. The Badge lies atop one of them. You reach it by using a Koopa Troopa's skills."
