Cheep Cheep Chance is a 4-Player and Duel minigame from Mario Party DS. It is one of two minigames in the game based on luck, the other being Chips and Dips.
Gameplay
This is a game of chance. Players have one chance to pick a rope on a giant inflatable ring that has a Cheep Cheep on it. There are twice as many ropes as players, and half of the ropes have Cheep Cheeps on them, while the other half do not. The objective is to pick a rope. If it has a Cheep Cheep, the player is safe (and, as a result, wins)—otherwise, the player falls into the water and loses. If more than one player wins, they still each earn coins (however, the minigame ends in a tie in the Duel version). If all players lose, the minigame ends in a tie. Although the game lets players choose a rope, this choice is actually an illusion, as whether each player will pull a Cheep Cheep or not is predetermined at the start of the game.
