At the goal, there is a cardboard cutout of a [[Goomba]], serving as the goalkeeper. If the ball gets past the Goomba, a point is scored. The game continues exactly the same way for 45 seconds. When the time has ran out and the game ends, the winning players will be seen in the front, doing their victory dance, with the losers behind them. If both teams have the same score at the end of the minigame, it results in a tie and all four players display their losing animations.

Shorty Scorers is a 2-vs.-2 minigame in Mario Party DS.

Gameplay

The minigame is very similar to handball. At the start of each point, the ball is dropped at the center of the field. One player can then grab it and proceed to bring it to the goal. The player can also pass the ball to their teammate. A player on the other team can punch the player who has the ball to get it away from them. At the goal, there is a cardboard cutout of a Goomba serving as the goalkeeper. If the ball gets past the Goomba, a point is scored. The team with the higher score after 45 seconds wins. If both teams have the same score at the end of the minigame, it results in a tie.

This minigame does not appear in the Simple Set.

Ending

The winners are seen in the front, doing their victory dances, with the losers behind them. If a tie occurs, all four players display their losing animations.
