Template:Infobox Yoshi's Island DS -- Yoshi's Egg Toss was a Nintendo published online Flash game to promote the release of Yoshi's Island DS on the Nintendo DS. It could be played either at the official microsite for Yoshi's Island DS or at the Nintendo Arcade, a section on nintendo.com that contained promotional web games.[1]
Gameplay
The game is a sidescrolling shooting game featuring Yoshi carrying Baby Mario across the screen. At all times, Yoshi has the ability to shoot a Yoshi Egg. When the player left-clicks the mouse, Yoshi shoots a Yoshi Egg into the air depending on the position of the player's mouse. There are a total of 4 enemies and 1 collectible in the game. Each enemy gives the player points when they are hit. In order, a Gusty gives the player 10 points, a Shy Guy gives the player 25 points, a Koopa Paratroopa gives the player 50 points, and the Glide Guy gives the player 100 points. The only collectible in the game is a clock, which gives the player extra time towards the timer on the bottom of the screen. The game ends in one of two ways: one of the enemies hits the player, or the timer runs out. When it ends, it shows a screen of Baby Mario in a bubble and the player's final score. From here, the player has the option to try again.
