The title of this article is conjectural; an official name for the article's subject has not been found, so it has been given a fitting title by the editors. If an acceptable name is found, then the article should be moved to the new title.
Dr. Toad, (also referred to as Toad Doctor), is, as his name would imply, a Toad doctor. He first appears in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, where he is trying to help Mario recover from Bean Fever in Little Fungitown. However, since he doesn't have the appropriate medicine, he sends Luigi on a quest to get Crabbie Grass from Guffawha Ruins.
Toad himself appears in the 1991 Club Nintendo comic "Süße Weihnachten" as a doctor. Here, he diagnoses Bowser's stomachache and assigns Dr. Mario to help him. Dr. Toad along with Nurse Toadstool serve as Dr. Mario's assistants as he performs a diagnosis of Bowser's health.
Another Toad doctor appears in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, where he is briefly seen tending to the fainted Toadsworth in the present Peach's Castle. Once again, this Toad doesn't have medicine and sends Mario to get a Refreshroom for Toadsworth.
There is yet another Toad doctor in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, and he is called Dr. Toadley.
Additionally, in The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 there is a character named Mushroom Doctor; however, aside from their shared profession, he and Dr. Toad bear no resemblance to each other.
