Cheep Cheep Chance is a 4-player and a duel mini-game from Mario Party DS. It's a game of chance. Players take turns picking a rope. It starts out with 4 holding a Cheep Cheep, and 4 have nothing. If the player chooses a rope with a Cheep Cheep, they will win with whoever else picked a Cheep Cheep. If they pick the rope with nothing, they will fall into the water and lose. In the duel version, there are 4 ropes. 2 of them have Cheep-Cheeps, and 2 of them don't. At the begining, it will show a random player pulling a rope with a Cheep Cheep. However, this does not count to the game, it only shows the players what to do. This may be inspired by the fact that the Cheep Cheep Chase has a Cheep Cheep trying to catch the players in the water, but this is the opposite as the players are trying to catch Cheep Cheeps.

Cheep Cheep Chance is a luck-based 4-Player and Duel minigame in Mario Party DS. It is one of two minigames in the game based on luck, the other being Chips and Dips.

Gameplay[edit]

Players have one chance to pick a rope on a giant inflatable ring that has a Cheep Cheep on it. There are twice as many ropes as players, and half of the ropes have Cheep Cheeps on them, while the other ropes do not. The objective is to pick a rope. If it has a Cheep Cheep, the player is safe (and, as a result, wins)—otherwise, the player falls into the water and loses. If more than one player wins, they still each earn coins (however, the minigame ends in a tie in the Duel version). If all players lose, the minigame ends in a tie. Although the minigame lets players choose a rope, this choice is actually an illusion, as whether each player will pull a Cheep Cheep or not is predetermined at the start of the minigame.
