Super Paper Mario description | A card that captures a foe's soul. It almost always works! |
A Catch Card SP is a more powerful, red and white version of a Catch Card found in Super Paper Mario. When used on an enemy, it is almost guaranteed to work. However, it may not work on enemies with high HP or enemies that take one damage per attack, such as Muths, Mega Muths, Dark Magiblots, Dark Squiglets, Megabites, Gigabites, and Dark Megabites. Enemies like those must first be weakened to have a good chance of catching them. However, the player will never successfully capture a boss with a Catch Card SP, for the cards do not hold such power. Megabites sometimes drop a Catch Card SP when defeated.
Locations[edit]
- Chapter 2-2 (Map 13), use Fleep on the first window eastward from the front door of Merlee's Mansion.
- Chapter 3-1, in western background of an area where the first Mega Star is, accessible via the westernmost pipe near a Sproing-Oing and a Piranha Plant, after crossing a moving platform.
- Chapter 3-1, behind the exit pipe in 3D near exactly 17 visible coins, accessible via the first pipe underground.
- Chapter 4-1, in 3D behind an asteroid in the area before the Star Block one, where enemies consist solely of Warpids.
- Chapter 4-3, surrounded by brick blocks in top-left corner of the third area.
- Sold by Boodin for 100 coins each at his shop, Fondest Hopes in Flopside.
- Flimm sometimes has a limited stock which he sells for 75 coins each.
