The Mario Kart Wii item-matching game is an Adobe Flash game published by Extra Toxic as part of its Nintendo advent calendar microsite. The game was made to promote Mario Kart Wii.

Gameplay[edit]

Once the player starts the game, a box at the top right of the screen begins cycling through a series of items available in Mario Kart Wii. Once it lands on one, the player must then use their mouse cursor to hover over each of the fourteen Item Boxes until the player finds that item, after which they must click on it. If they can find the item and click it, Mario will nudge Luigi towards the left side of the screen. If the player cannot find the item or they do not click on it, the inverse will occur. Once one of the characters nudges the other entirely off the screen, the game ends.
