Weeping Reclusa is the form that Reclusa takes upon merging with the Soli-Tree during the final boss battle of Mario & Luigi: Brothership. It is a giant tree made of electrical cables and sparks, with green and yellow eyes.

Upon entering this form, Weeping Reclusa will bat away Bowser and his minions, before unleashing a wave of Glohm that knocks out Mario, Luigi and Snoutlet. Connie will then use the power of bonds to revive the bros, and the battle will begin.

Battle[edit]

In battle, Weeping Reclusa cannot be targeted by Mario and Luigi due to its size. As a result, the battle is about defeating the Doom Blooms holding Snoutlet in order to activate Luigi Logic and ride up to the tree.

Despite not being damaged by normal attacks, Weeping Reclusa has three main attacks. The first one has it swing its arms towards Mario and Luigi, who must jump over them as they approach. If a brother is caught by this attack, they will caught on the the Weeping Reclusa's hand and flung back towards the ground, where the other character must catch them to avoid letting them take fall damage.

Weeping Reclusa can also throw a giant spike ball at the bros, who have to use their hammers at the same time to hit it back at the boss. If they do not time this properly, then one or more of the bros will get flung off screen by the attack, and the other one will not be able to hit the spike ball back after countering it.

It can also summon multiple ice projectiles, and shoot them towards Mario and Luigi. After these have been hit, it will summon a giant fireball that both characters need to knock back with their hammer by repeatedly pressing X Button.

Successfully countering the latter two attacks will stun Weeping Reclusa for a turn.

Upon defeating the Doom Bloom holding Snoutlet and activating Luigi Logic, the second phase of the battle will start. This has Mario and Luigi riding a giant plug up the side of Weeping Reclusa, while the latter uses fireballs, iceballs and spiked branches to try and stop them. If the bros hit any of these obstacles the battle will restart from the main phase, while if they reach the top, they will need to use the Bro Bomb to destroy a giant energy ball summoned by the boss. Destroying it will let the bros enter the mouth of the Weeping Reclusa, starting the next phase of the boss battle.
